I've done a lot of research to determine the best color for the walls of The Martketplace. Gray and yellow are the two best colors for walls in a venue where you want the art to be the main focus. But once it's narrowed down to one color, then Oh boy, how to choose?
This photo is a collection of grays. The research said that the gray should have red in it? I've played around with RGB in Microsoft Word and think I've found a great option. Now to try to find a paint sample to match.
If you're new to my blog, you probably have no idea what The Martketplace is. It is a facility for artists. Mr. Wonderful and I have a building sitting empty. Instead of it continuing to sit empty, We're renovating it into an artist facility to show and sell their work.
On the Second Saturday of each month, The Martketplace will be open to the public. Our grand opening is May 11th (the day before Mother's Day). It is located at 106 S. 273rd E. Ave just east of Catoosa. We are excited to create this venue for artists. We hope you will make your way out and support these folks. You're sure to find something interesting to see, something amazing to buy or to simply get to know the artists. We already have a large variety of art mediums. We believe there will be something for everyone.
Do you buy art from local artists? Would you if it was convenient?
